1. About the Section
An independent Section of Agricultural Engineering was started in year 1958. The section of Agril. Engineering had inherited the scholarship in teaching and research from people like Dr. Mujumdar, Prof. Korde, Prof.P.L.Narnaware, Dr. A. B. Kubde, Prof. V.S. Telgote and now Dr. A. R. Mhaske. This section is imparting education at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate level students.
The march of teaching and achievements can be judged from the number of alumini it has produced successfully outside the gate of the college. Apart from regular teaching the section also conducts research on Farm Power and Machinery, Post Harvest Technology, Soil and Water Conservation Engineering, Irrigation and extension work. Agril. Engineering section have latest farm power and implements park. This section have modern workshop.
Major Research areas of the section
· Watershed Development Project and Management
· Well Recharging and Ground water monitoring
· Micro-irrigation survey Installation and Designing
· Converting Sewage into water resource by using Phytorid Wetland Engineering Technology in Agriculture for sustainable development
· Use of treated sewage in Agriculture through micro irrigation in sustainable environment.
· Rainfall – runoff modelling
Phytorid Wetland Engineering based Sewage Treatment Plant
With the advance of time new horizons in the Engineering section will be visible and research and teaching will be proceeding towards progress and will add new chapter in the volume of learning.
